Daddy's Grill - Richmond, BC

On Canada Day we felt like celebrating with summer food like barbecue meat. But we don't have any barbecue set. The alternative was to buy some grilled meat. It's been a while since we had any Middle Eastern style grill kebab. With a bit search we found Daddy's Grill. So off we went.

It was a bit drizzling that day. Not exactly a barbecue weather but still a good day to enjoy grilled meat. When we got there there was two guys that came out separately with their loot. There was another customer inside. Hubby went in first. I went behind him because there wasn't too many people in there. Still have to maintain physical distancing.

There was a laminated menu on the counter so we double checked our choice because the menu posted on Google was sort of old. What we ordered was Kebab Vaziri which consisted of one skewer of minced beef kebab and one skewer of chicken kebab with a side of rice and salad.

Hubby went to place the order once the other customer was done and I went outside to wait. While checking out what's on the other side of the street mall I saw a Chinese Filipino restaurant Little Ong Pin. The story of that will continue.

I can see why Daddy's Grill had so many and such high reviews on Google. The price is fair and the food is good. The kebab is as good as the one I used to enjoy back in California. My manager used to order this for us since he knows good place for kebab. The chicken skewer got three pieces of chicken breast. The chicken was seasoned well with light spices and tasted of tanginess of lemon. And surprisingly it's not even dry. Most of the chicken breast meat I know will be dry but this one was still moist. The minced beef kebab was also nicely seasoned with spices. They all went well together with the rice and the grilled tomato.
