Third Day : Around Bukit Bintang

Nasi lemak with egg and sambal
We told our host friend family that we'll check in the hotel the day after. Even though they insisted that we stay with them. But we convinced them that we still wanted to check out the city. So in the end they gave up and went according our plan. We made a reservation online through Agoda and by end of day on Sunday we already had accommodation for Monday night.

We were ready to take train back to Bukit Bintang area. But we were offered a ride to town along with free lunch. Who could refuse that kind of offer ?

The lunch was at a very popular nasi lemak place called Village Park Restaurant. The food was awesome. Fragrant rice with dishes you can choose from an array of ready cook dishes. Or opt for the most popular fried chicken rice combo. The sambal that came with the rice was to die for. Sweet and not too spicy. Me and hubby shared a second serving of rice. I would have gone for the third one had I not stop myself.

From there we were dropped off at our hotel just in time it allowed for check-in. So we checked-in, left our suitcases there and explored Bukit Bintang Area on our own.

Our first stop was Sungei Wang Plaza. It was an older mall but a lot of individual stores. Some were actually quite interesting. But I wasn't really in the mood to shop. I bought a Hello Kitty tote bag for my boss at a store in the basement area. I also bought a gift pack Hello Kitty stationery for a friend's daughter.

We had a late afternoon snack at a vegetarian restaurant in Lot 10 shopping centre. It was just outside H&M store. We had our bowl of hot noodle soup and then continued browsing. By then it was like 6 pm and the rain was pouring hard outside. So we decided to call it a night and headed back.
