Sushi Brothers - Woodburn, Oregon
On this road trip back to the north we had time to make a proper stop at Woodburn, OR. Precisely at Woodburn Premium Outlet. We haven't had lunch yet and decided to just have a lunch break at Woodburn since we'll be going to the Woodburn Premium Outlet.
This restaurant was located not far from the outlet on one of the strip mall just before the outlet. It was around 2:30 when we got there so lunch rush was over. We were seated fast.
I did not know that this place does conveyor belt sushi. Different types of sushi passed by in front of our noses while we decided on our orders. I wasn't too sure how fresh the sushi was so we decided to order a spicy chicken bento and chicken yakisoba (fried noodle). Though in the end we couldn't resist to pick up a small plate of spicy tuna (maybe ?).
The bento order came with miso soup and California roll. We were hungry so we finished off the miso soup as soon as it was put in front of us. Then my spicy chicken bowl came out. Brown sticky gooey pieces of chicken on top of shredded cabbage and rice. Definitely generous amount of chicken. Not too spicy and more on the sweet side. Chicken had a bit crunch to it. Delicious.
Hubby's yakisoba was not as dark as I expected. Generous amount of shredded vegetables which we appreciated. Big pieces of teriyaki chicken here and there but not a whole lot. I guess yakisoba traditionally was not served with protein other than a sunny side up egg. So chicken in this case was just a replacement of that sunny side up egg. But we got plenty of chicken from my bowl so protein wasn't an issue for us.
Hubby was still hungry and has been eyeing the plates of sushi that passed by us. In the end he grabbed one that looked like spicy tuna with some spicy mayo sauce drizzled on it. Mayo with rice, why not ?
Total for us was $21 before tips. Oregon doesn't have sales tax. It was decent taste for a restaurant in Oregon. Would most likely stop by again if we're in the area.
