Meitetsu Inn Nagoya Ekimae

We spent three nights in Nagoya at Meitetsu Inn Nagoya Ekimae. This hotel is pretty close to Nagoya Station maybe about ten minutes walk if you go out of the right exit which is Sakura Dori. Or look for the gold clock. One thing we realized when we were there was Nagoya Station can be pretty confusing.

When we checked in the hotel we were told that breakfast would be provided. That's great news. We never thought that we would need breakfast provided at a hotel in Japan. We thought the breakfast would be typical continental breakfast. But we were blown away by the varieties and qualities. Those breakfast could easily be one of the best meals we had in Japan. Curry rice was one of the daily breakfast item which I learnt to love while staying there.

Room was pretty standard business hotel in Japan. Room slippers and pajamas set were provided. And though we requested no room service necessary, a bag with clean towels and other amenities would still be left outside our room. What a service.

The breakfast room is open even though breakfast time is over. Instead the coffee machine would still operate along with the tea and hot soup (miso, I think). Hubby started to love caffe mocha ever since he tried it in this hotel. And we used this breakfast room numerous time when we brought back pastries/snacks to hotel and just sat there and enjoyed the items with the hot beverages provided. I think this hotel was easily the best hotel out of all the hotels we stayed in Japan.

Love the smell of the body soap

Salad, salmon, curry rice and pastries were available every day
