It was lunch time so there was a line forming already. The place was tiny with a payment counter and bar seating area on first floor. So everybody was told to line up for second and third floor. We waited for less than 15 minutes and we were about to get a table then we were offered seating at the bar area on first floor.
They provided English menu when we asked for it. We were not very hungry since we had two breakfast that morning - at hotel and at Komeda's. So we decided that we should get a combo miso katsu and a miso kushikatsu.
Since we sat at the bar just in front of the kitchen we had fun watching the busy kitchen preparing the orders. Then we got our orders. The combo miso katsu came with rice, miso soup and a small side of pickled veggie. The miso kushikatsu consisted of three skewers of deep fried pork with miso sauce. Kushikatsu is a popular dish from Osaka consisted of deep fried skewers of various items and served with tangy sauce.
The miso katsu was good though the cut they used was a bit fatty. The sauce made it a bit too salty to be eaten by itself but it went well with rice. Same goes with the kushikatsu.
