Father's House, Hua Hin Soi 88 - Hua Hin, Thailand
The name doesn't quite describe this place. The first time I found this place on Google maps, I had no clue what it was. I had to read the reviews and looked at the photos shared to decide that it's a food court !
It's a bit out of the way from our hotel because of the way the streets are designed in Hua Hin. Our hotel is on the main road just like most hotels in Hua Hin. But there are many small streets (sois) along this main road which connect the main road to another road almost parallel to the main road but behind all the businesses, hotels, hospitals, etc on the main road.
This is the location of this food court. It's not on the main road but on the road adjacent to the railroad track which is almost parallel to the main road. I'm guessing most visitors to Hua Hin would just go up and down the main road and don't venture out to the railroad track. 😁
But surprisingly this food court was pretty busy already when we visited the first time around 5:30 pm. We noticed a stage and plenty of vendors buzzing and preparing food. A lot of tables occupied already with both foreigners and locals alike. Hungry people looking for food.
We walked a big round checking out all the vendors before deciding on what to order. I settled in with chicken rice. Hubby had his eyes set on fish rice soup. We decided to order another dish, a stir fry chicken curry. All of our orders were delicious.
Even when we finished our meal around 6:30, the live performance hasn't started yet. So we decided to come later next time.
The second time we arrived around 7 pm. This time it was way busier than the first time. Especially it's also weekend. There's a guard at check point to make sure no outside drinks and foods are brought in. I had to leave my bottle of water there.
This time I ordered a grilled tilapia (?) that came in with rice noodle, salad and chili sauce. This was all for THB 150 (USD 4.13). This time hubby felt the urge for chicken rice instead. So that's what he ordered.
