Hotel Taiyo - Osaka, Japan

Location wise this hotel couldn't be any closer to the train station. It's like 2 minutes away. In fact, if we stand outside the hotel we could already see the entrance to the train station. It's that close. Also there was a Family Mart which is like a convenient store like next to the hotel. Shinsekai is just across the street like eight minutes walk away. Abeno Harukas the mall with the popular Harukas 300 Observatory is about 15 minutes away by foot.

It is an older hotel which when it was built was meant to have bath rooms outside. So our room only had a toilet with a basin. Our floor didn't have a shower area and only had shared outside basins. We had to go down two floors to shower. There was a Japanese bath area on first floor with different hours for males and females. We didn't give it a try.

As you can see in the pictures, the room was pretty spartan. Very clean but not much decoration or even amenities. There was a TV and a small bedside table.
