Victoria Weekend Getaway - Part 2

Next morning we took our time to get up. We didn't have any plan other than to make our way back to Vancouver, slowly.

Read the Part 1 of the story here.

8:30 Out on the street looking for breakfast. Our hotel actually had options for breakfast but we didn't take that option since we wanted to see what's available out there. Most businesses open around 11 am. Some coffee shops open earlier. I had my eyes on Cobbs Bakery and Bread. There are a few locations in Vancouver but we haven't had a chance to try it yet. So this would be a great time to check it out.

10:00 We went back to hotel after a visit to Cobbs. Packed out bags and ready to check out by 10. Our plan was to squeeze in early lunch since we would be catching the 1 pm ferry back to Tsawwassen. That way we didn't have to look for food up in the ferry later. Hubby had his eyes on noodle soup at Pho Boi. This place was the only noodle place that opens at 10. So they got our business. We were the only patrons in there the whole time. It's a slow Sunday morning.

After our bowl of noodle soup it was hardly 12. I wanted to walk around while waiting for the bus. But in the end gave up since we didn't want to risk missing the bus and missing the 1 pm ferry.

12:20 Made it to Schwartz Bay terminal and got our tickets. The bus ride to the terminal was scenic. We took the upper deck seats on the double decker bus #70. From where we sat we could see all the buildings we passed by around downtown area. Then we passed through the little town of Sidney with its water front park. I actually think Sidney could be a nice place to stay next time if we ever come back to the island.

1:00 We left Schwarts Bay Terminal exactly on time. We decided to try the upper deck seating area. It was a sunny day so there were quite a lot of people sitting there as well. It was at time windy but the view was spectacular.
