Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food - Orlando, Florida

After we checked in and got ourselves refreshed then we were out the door and ready to hit the park. From our hotel room at Universal Cabana Bay Resort on the seventh floor we could see the bus that would take us to the park.

First thing was to look for lunch spot. Since our move from California we haven't had too much of Mexican cuisine. So we aimed for that. Florida I think would be a good place to look for Mexican cuisine.

At Universal Citywalk we found Antojitos and the menu looked pretty good. We got a table outside since the weather was not as hot anymore. The place wasn't too busy since it was too early for dinner. I ordered a beef quesadilla and hubby got shrimp tacos.

Chips and salsa were brought out while we waited for our food. The salsa was okay only, not spicy enough for our taste. Not long later we got our orders. The shrimp tacos were amazing. There were three on the platter with a tiny bowl of bean and rice. Each taco had about two decent size deep fried prawns with topping like chopped tomatoes, shredded cabbage and sprinkle of cheese. The prawns were succulent and nicely seasoned. I don't remember ever having shrimp tacos before but these were awesome !

My beef quesadilla was good with thick slices of beef. Probably not too special since quesadilla is quite easy to put together. The platter came with a scoop of guacamole and sour cream. We didn't order any drinks since they don't actually have any typical Mexican restaurant drinks like horchata.
