Universal Cabana Bay Resort - Orlando, Florida

During our research of this trip to Universal Studios Florida we found out that staying at one of the resort hotels will allow us an early entry to the park. In this our case it was early entry to Universal Studios Florida. We were allowed to go in at 7 am instead of 8 am for everyone else.

When we checked in we were given key card which works for our hotel room key and also as an ID for the early entry into the park. Though seriously, they didn't really check. I wonder if one could actually sneak into the park if they don't really stay at one of the resort hotel.

The hotel is huge with a few restaurants and swimming pools. We didn't really enjoy any of the pools though but I could imagine families with kids will totally enjoy that. One could pick up drinks/snacks from a convenient store and be on the go. We got a room on the seventh floor. And we could actually see the tip of Hogswart Castle from our hotel room.

We booked our hotel and tickets through Universal Orlando Resort website just to make it easier. And we also purchased additional airport transfer. I'm glad we did that because as we checked in at Universal Studios counter at the airport we could also pick up our tickets and passes at the same time. Saving time from having had to go to will call counter at the park. So convenient.

Tips
Our room was at the America (?) wing of the hotel. We found out there were coin laundry machine and dryer on 3rd and 6th floor. As Florida was only one of our stops so having clean clothes was super important for us. This laundry services came at a perfect time.

We saw a Whole Foods supermarket on our way to the hotel from airport. It's about 1 mile from our hotel. On our first night we decided to walk there to get breakfast items like granola, bottled water, bananas and almond milk. After the grocery shopping we took Uber back to hotel.
