The following recipe was modified a bit from the original recipe by Apron on YouTube.
Ingredients :
120 ml almond milk
5 gr (1/2 tbs) instant yeast
300 gr (2 1/8 cup) flour, add 1 tsp baking powder
10 gr (1 1/2 tsb) sugar
5 gr (1 tsp) salt
40 ml condensed milk
1 egg
30 gr (1/8 c) unsalted butter - let it sits at room temperature
muffin mold/ square pan (8 x 8 x 2)
Method :
Warm milk to 95 degree. Put in yeast and stir to dissolve. Let it sits for 5 minutes.
Mix flour, salt and sugar. Stir well. Put in condensed milk, egg and yeast mixture. Mix well. After it all mixed well. Put butter in and work it all in.
Knead dough for about 8-10 minutes until the surface is smooth. Put oil in a big bowl and put in the dough. Wrap with plastic wrap and keep in a warm area for 60 minutes. I put mine in a cold oven with a pot of boiling water.
After 1 hour, depends on the mold you are using. I divided my dough into 9 equal size and work it into 9 round dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let them sit for another 1 hour.
Before placing them in the oven, brush them lightly with milk.
Bake them in a preheated oven at 356 degree F for about 15-17 minutes.
