Hei Hei Rice Roll 喜记肠粉 - Richmond, BC

This is one of the stall located in Richmond Public Market. It's pretty new - most likely set up the last year. We knew almost all the stalls in the food court there because at one point we lived next to the market.

And we were excited to try because back when we visited friends in Toronto, they took us to a restaurant that served freshly made rice rolls. They were so different than the dimsum restaurant ones.

So this stall only does rice rolls with different fillings - minced beef, pork, roast pork, prawn, dry shrimp, etc. They also offer some drinks like soy milk and osmanthus drink. Curious about osmanthus but haven't tried it yet. There were some selection of rice porridge aka congee. But haven't tried those as well.

We ordered 2 different fillings rice rolls - roast pork and combo minced pork, minced beef and prawn. It took about ten minutes to get our orders. They were piping hot served with scattered chopped green onion. Don't worry, you could ask them to leave it out. Hot oil was served on the side for those who like it spicy.

I found this rice rolls very soft and thin. Like you could actually tasted the thin texture of the rice rolls even though it was rolled up. Very fresh. Could not be more fresh than that.
