Los Dos Amigos Fiesta - Roseberg, OR
Found this restaurant in Roseburg as we were contemplating on what to eat for lunch. Burgers are usually quite easy to find on road trips. Either restaurants or fast food usually would have burgers on their menus. Asian food is a bit easier to find now but the quality is a bit questionable and may not suit our taste buds. We noticed more mexican restaurants in Roseburg than Asian restaurants. That's a good sign so we picked one and the menu looked pretty decent.
When we got there, the restaurant looked convincing from outside. Ample of parking shared with a strip mall. Inside were almost full since it's pretty much lunch time. One of the waiter saw us waiting and decided to direct us to a table since the host was on the phone. Nice initiative.
The menu was big with lots of options. A waiter came to get us our drinks while we checked the menu. In the end I settled with quesadilla with beef. Hubby got camarones ala diabla. We got our drinks and tortilla chips with salsa.
The place was as busy as it could be being Saturday and sunny day. Every so often we heard a man singing following the music playing in the background. Then we got our food. My quesadilla came in a huge plate with eight wedges of goodness topped with guacamole and scattered of onion. Hubby’s devillish prawn looked fiery with the red pepper sauce. But it wasn't super spicy. Just delicious with his horchata (a drink made with barley and cinnamon).
It was a huge meal for us. Had we live locally I would have just finished half of that and had the rest in a to go box. But I felt that it was a good value for the price we paid. Highly recommended for anyone in the area.
