Best Western Windsor Inn - Ashland, OR
This was our hotel for our trip back to Vancouver, Canada. Based on our itinerary to Oregon Coast, we felt that a night at Ashland, OR would work out better. We could leave later from California which meant more time spent with family and not driving too much as well.
We arrived in Ashland about 6 pm. Since we had a late lunch in Redding, California there's no need for dinner. But yet I know we'll be hungry later on but maybe not a full meal. So we stopped by a grocery stop and bought a bag of asparagus and cheddar biscuits. They were surprisingly tasty.
Checked in was easy at Best Western. The man behind counter was friendly and funny. I noticed there was a bowl outside the receptionist area dedicated for the four-legged-furry friends. We got a room on the second floor which was perfect.
Our room had a feel of an older hotel with big heavy furniture but it's well kept or perhaps upgraded before. There was a keurig coffee machine and a double vanity basin. We got a king bed with nice firm enough mattress and plenty of pillows.
The following morning breakfast was served at the convention hall. Maybe at one point it was served in a different area but for the purpose of social distancing it's moved to a bigger area hence the convention hall. There was a greeter as soon as we walked in. Next to her against the other side of the wall was the coffee stand. Next to that was the entrance to the breakfast area.
As soon as we walked in the breakfast area I noticed quite a lot of groups enjoying breakfast. To our right was hot breakfast like bacon and egg and also yogurt. To our left was a spread of bread, cereal, pancake machine, fruits and bagels. I tried the pancake machine and it's pretty amazing. Hot made to order pancakes !
We gave the breakfast a 5 💖 in terms of varieties and qualities. I think this hotel will be our choice for the area next time.
