Earls - Richmond, British Columbia, Canada
This is our neighborhood restaurant. We have lived in Richmond for a few years and finally found a reason to check out this place. It's a Father's Day weekend when we took our special Dad here for a nice lunch.
We wanted to go there early as to avoid crowds. So I made a reservation for 12. There were already a few table occupied when we got there but not too busy yet. We were seated inside one of those diner style seating. It's comfy for sure but a bit dim lit.
Our waiter was cheerful and friendly. We placed our orders and he suggested some hot sauce on the side since we were not sure if it could be too spicy for our dad. Nice touch.
The food came out pretty quick and altogether. So we could all share and started eating. The yam fries was nice and crispy. Dad loved that. It actually came with the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich. Hubby had that changed from regular fries to yam fries. Which turned out to be better. The chicken sandwich was refreshing and crispy. A very nice combination of pickle cucumber and sweet tangy sauce.
I ordered street chicken tacos. There were two tacos in an order. I was told that it used to be three. Must be inflation. 😉 The chicken was crispy which paired nicely with the crunch of shredded cabbage and freshly made pico de gallo and the side of salsa.
The salt and pepper chicken wings were no brainer. Piping hot served with celery sticks and ranch dressing. One couldn't go wrong with those chicken wings. We also got an order of breakfast platter with shrimp omelette and a tiny bowl of salad. The omelette was so smooth with hint of butter and cheese. Yum.
