Seafood Buffet in Chiang Rai พิงค์ลานนาซีฟู๊ดหมูกระทะ - Chiang Rai, Thailand
I think it's hard for non-Thai to find this place but I just wanted to share it anyway. In case anyone who happened to love seafood wanted to give it a try. When we were there though we didn't see any non-Thai. If it's just me and hubby, I doubt we'll be brave enough to try it ourselves.
The buffet here consisted of shabu-shabu and grill. Though their way of grill isn't the same as Korean bbq house in the west. The grill is conducted on top of the shabu-shabu pot, so the broth in the pot became oily by the end of the session. It's not really for people who want to enjoy both. I think if you go there in a big group, maybe a designated pot just for shabu-shabu and then another pot just for grill. Though compared to last time we went there (2018) there was additional grilling device on the site. Nothing fancy, it's more like a type of grilling device used by mom. Powered with charcoal.
There were five of us so we used a longer table with the charcoal grill on one side manned by me and hubby. Then we also had two shabu-shabu pot. The selection was mind blowing though. From cooked food like a few different type of seafood salad to sushi roll, some fried items. We tried squid salad, octopus salad, chicken feet salad and fried cheese shrimp balls (?). All were delish.
Then I went to pick up a few skewered meat (chicken, pork) and chicken arranged on kebob style with pineapple, tomatoes and onion. I also picked up some oysters and huge prawns. Hubby grab some squid and some other seafood. Seriously seafood galore.
When we were finally done and ready for dessert, our friend brought over sticky rice with durian ! 😍Those were amazing. A bit sweet and fragrant. Wow. We also picked up some other desserts like coconut milk with jackfruit, cream puffs, brownies, donut like pastries.
Btw, all those for THB329 - about USD 9 before drinks. 💕
