Thailand Road Trip : Day 5 : Chumphon - Krabi

Today's destination would be Ao Nang Beach in Krabi. This beach has a special place in our hearts. We were there almost more than 20 years ago. 😃 Big family reunion. Spent weeks there. We pretty much rented half the bungalows there. Hung out by the hotel restaurant from breakfast time to lunch time. I gained a few pounds during our stay there.

When we got there the place changed a lot. Well, it was pretty hard hit by tsunami back in 2004. Also years after that more development happened. There were plenty of big hotels on that road leading to Ao Nang Beach. I didn't remember any of those big hotels being there last time. Even that stretch of road had two McDonalds ! It's literally just a block of each other.

First thing first we checked in our hotel Panan Krabi. It's going to be our home for the next two days. Then we went out for dinner at a small restaurant on the way to Noppharat Thara Beach. Compared to our lunch that day at Pa Ya Fresh Shellfish, this can be considered simple dinner. Steam seabass with chili and lime, stir fry seafood with onion and stir fry prawn with bell pepper. I remembered being introduced to this style of steam fish last time we were in Krabi. 😍
