Lotus Restaurant - Richmond, BC (revisited 2023)

This place came to mind when we were in the area recently and were looking for pho. This place was one of the restaurants we liked to visit during our time living in Richmond.

During lunch time the tables inside were pretty much all occupied. We got lucky when we arrived that there were a few groups just finishing. We got a table by the window. They still have their patio open with a few tables outside. Those were our favorites during COVID days. 😎

We got beef noodle soups and also vermicelli bowls. The person taking our orders asked if we would like the bean sprouts blanched. YES PLEASE ! 😍 That makes the soup keeping its temperature longer. Sometimes if the bowl isn't big enough to begin with then the raw bean sprout won't even get cooked at all.

The vermicelli bowls had different toppings. Pick a combination of bbq pork and prawns or bbq chicken with eggroll, etc. My vermicelli bowl had generous toppings of bbq pork and prawns which was enough for me to even share with hubby.

The beef noodle soups were nice. Piping hot broth with slices of rare beef cooked just right by the hot broth. Slurp it down before the noodle became too soft. Unless you like soft noodle like hubby. 😂

Recommended if you're in Richmond area.
