Airport Meal at Haneda Airport - Tokyo, Japan

We had a long transit at Haneda Airport, Tokyo. Instead of sleeping at the airport or getting an expensive airport hotel we decided to go into town. We spent a night at Henn Na Tokyo Haneda hotel. Our flight the following morning was at 8:55 am.

Most of the shops and eateries at Haneda Airport Terminal 3 open around 8 am. So we decided to just go in the terminal and found whatever available for breakfast. But even inside not too many shops open at around 6:30 am. Long lines at vending machines that sell sandwiches and onigiri (rice ball). There was a long line at a ramen place at an opening that looks like a food court. In the beginning we just passed by it since we were still looking for other possibilities. But in the end we decided to line up as well. At the same there was another stall just opened up. That one offered takoyaki among other items.

The line at the ramen shop moved very slowly. At one point I thought we'd never made it to the front of line. In fact the guy behind me left. Hubby got his takoyaki first and then came to relieve me at the ramen line. We finally got our ramen at 8:20 !

I was happy that we got the ramen. It was delicious even though it's at the airport. The price was cheap compared to airport food in the west. Only JPY 1040 (USD 8.58).
