Deer Horn Restaurant & Bar - Mui Wo, Hong Kong

This restaurant is located near Mui Wo ferry terminal. We noticed lives revolve around the ferry terminal. A lot of the restaurants are close by the terminal. So are supermarkets and a morning market. There are some seafood stalls by the water front adjacent to the ferry terminal. But we didn't try those as I didn't feel like having seafood.

Deer Horn was labeled as restaurant and bar. The place is tiny and could probably fit about 20 people altogether. When we were there a big group actually ended up not going in as the owner was trying to put together enough seating for them.

They offered lunch menu set for a reasonable price at HKD 69 (USD 8.83). That includes a soda. So pretty reasonable though limited options. Out of the lunch menu, I chose pork momo and hubby chose stir fry pork belly served with rice.

Momo is a Nepalese dumplings. I have read about this dish ever since we were in SF Bay Area. But never got to try them. I was glad to finally encounter this dish again in Hong Kong !

In my opinion the dumplings tasted just like regular Chinese dumplings. Other than the shape I would not be able to tell the difference. They were good though. 😋 Hubby's pork belly looked interesting. But he said it was not very flavorful.

Recommended for lunch especially for the value !
