The R R Chocolate PIK - Jakarta, Indonesia

We came across this restaurant at PIK Avenue when strolling about with friends and looking for a place to sit down. Quite amazed with the decor and ambiance we decided to go back again the following day ! 😉

This second time we went in with purpose and empty stomach. These were what we ordered chicken teriyaki, char kway teow (stir fry rice noodle), beef burger, nyonya fried spring roll, and Vietnamese spring roll. Quite a varieties of cusine. 😍

The one that we knew was good from previous visit was the nyonya fried spring roll. This time the spring roll wasn't cut in half and were served full. Not sure why the difference. Maybe because on our first visit there were six of us instead of four on the second visit ? 😕 Quality wise still the same taste. Crispy skin.

Vietnamese spring roll was good and tasty. But I somehow didn't remember eating any shrimp in it though it said that on the menu. Perhaps they mistaken the order with the vegan one ? I wonder if that's what happened to another Google reviewer who also wondered why his spring roll didn't come with shrimp.

Char kway teow was okay. It started as pretty strong but faded away as I ate more of it. Chicken teriyaki was a bit too salty and too strong flavored for me. Nice presentation though. Beef burger was a bit too overwhelming. Too much topping on a smaller buns. The buns didn't hold well. Perhaps my homemade burgers the last few months have made me a burger snob now. 😎

Hubby ordered cold dark cocoa drink. It was as good as the chocolate frappe. With a hint of bitterness. I was going to try the milk chocolate as unsweetened drink. But the waiter told me it's not possible. So I didn't order. Parents ordered English black tea.

Recommended : cold dark cocoa drink, dark cocoa frappe, nyonya fried egg roll.
