Go Ang Pratunam Chicken Rice - Bangkok, Thailand

Before coming to Thailand I only know about Singapore chicken rice. But having lived in Thailand for a few months now I grew to like Thai chicken rice. From my observation, Thais don't normally call their chicken rice as "Hainanese chicken rice".

When we were in Bangkok this past week, we went with a few friends to check out this chicken rice restaurant that received Michelin award. It's located in the Pratunam area just a block away from Big C and almost across from Central World.

When we arrived almost lunch time, there was already a crowd of a few groups of people waiting to go in. We received a number and waited patiently. Thank goodness it wasn't very hot that day. The wait was maybe around twenty minutes.

They had a big menu and a varieties of dishes as well. We ordered the individual chicken rice, some extra plates of chicken and a few stir fry veggie dish. The chicken was juicy but not too tender. The rice was flavorful and not mushy. I could see why it's popular.
