Tilu Kitchen and Patisseri- Bandung, Indonesia
Our lunch before leaving Bandung. It's almost across from our hotel, De Paviljoen. It's hard to guess what type of cuisine they serve by its name. We have stopped by another cafe in the neighborhood but it's too warm for us. In the end, at the spur of the moment, we chose this one. Their AC area actually has to be booked. But they had big and airy dining area so we decided to stay.
The menu book was pretty with pictures. It's lunch time so instead of snacks we just dived into lunch options. I chose garang asem, beef cooked with tomatoes and spices. Hubby chose fried rice noodle. I don't remember what style of fried rice noodle. I believe it was Indonesian style.
The garang asem had decent amount of beef. It's served with a bowl of rice on the side with emping chips, a few leaves of lettuce and a few slices of tomatoes. Judging from the name, I expected the dish to be more tangy. But this one wasn't tangy. It's mainly salty.
Hubby said his fried rice noodle was okay. Decent. Not bad. Maybe that's not their strength. Perhaps most people go there for the drinks and snacks or cakes.
