The Food Courts of Central Floresta and Central Festival - Phuket, Thailand

On our first night in Phuket this time, we had dinner at a food court inside Central. We have been to this Central Mall before two years ago. But it was just a visit and passing through. This time as we stayed at a hotel nearby, Central became our playground and our canteen.

The following day as we walked to Decathlon which was also close by, we realized how big this Central Mall is. It consisted of two wings - Central Floresta and Central Festival. Central Floresta is the branded items wing and Central Festival is the one for commoners. 😁

Food Court @ Floresta Wing (G Floor)
Our meal on the first day was actually at Central Floresta Wing. You can tell which food court is the Floresta Wing by the dish ware used. The food court at Floresta Wing uses very pretty dish ware that looked expensive.

The food prices here in general is similar to the other two food courts at Central. But being at Floresta Wing a few stalls offer more unique food like seafood and more restaurant like food. Of course, food are these stalls are adjusted to what they are worth.

Worth mentioned : khao soi with kha moo (northern style curry noodle served with braised pork trotter). you get the richness of the khao soi broth along with the melt in your mouth braised pork trotter.

Food Patio @ Festival Wing (1 Floor)
This food court is located at basement of the Festival Wing. According to Central website, Food Patio is located on 1 Floor. From the entrance (street level), one would have to go down one level to get to the food court.

There are a variety of food offered here. From halal food, noodle soup, chicken rice to pizza. We tried chicken rice and mixed rice here. Mixed rice is rice set with precooked side dish. Usually THB55 (USD 1.50) for a rice with one dish or THB 65 (USD 1.64)  for two dishes.

Worth mentioned : pork burger set with fries. The price for this set was THB 99 (USD 2.70). The set was for a decent size burger (not a slider) with fries. Freshly made to order. Surprisingly delicious.

Food Park @ Festival Wing (3 Floor)
Festival wing of Central in Phuket has two food courts. We found this accidentally when we were roaming around. The second food court is located on the top floor of the Festival wing.

This food court is actually the biggest in term of space compared to the other two food courts. It's bright and has plenty of tables. I think most visitors did not come all the way up here to eat. Perhaps most patrons here are employees of the mall.

Just like the other two food courts. I see similar food being offered here like noodle soup, mixed rice, halal food and Japanese food.

Worth mentioned : beef noodle soup. The stall is not part of the stalls on the row but located in the middle with another vendor back to back. I like the boat noodle soup here as the broth was just right to my liking. Not too salty. A few vendors I found at the other food court all has put too much seasoning on the noodle broth. I like to season my noodle soup myself.
