We normally choose to stay close to Pratunam area. It enables me to swing by to Platinum Mall for some shopping. But this time the plan was to stay overnight and fly out the next morning. No shopping. But as it turned out, we had a change of plan - not our choice. There was a flash flood in Chiang Rai just a few days before our scheduled plan. The airport there was close for a day. Air Asia allowed us to change our flights free of charge. That convinced us that we needed to change our itinerary.
So we skipped Chiang Rai and went straight to Bangkok and extended an extra day. We still stuck to this hotel we booked and added an extra day. What to do with that extra day ? SHOPPING ! 😍
This hotel is just across from Don Mueang airport. You could try walking there if you don't have a lot of luggage. We did that on the second day of our arrival. But with the hot sunny day at Bangkok, Grab or taxi would probably be a better choice.
The hotel was bigger than expected. It expanded over a few buildings. I suspect that they also offer extended/long term stay. We got a room at the main building, sharing the same elevator with the lobby. This main building is connected to the adjacent building at the rooftop level where a cafetaria, swimming pool and gym are located. The pool was a bit small but the gym was decent.

We got a room on the fifth floor. Our room came with a tiny balcony which is not really useful other than hanging our quicky laundry. The air-con unit was also located there so it's a bit warm for hanging out but perfect for drying laundry. Surprisingly there was a sink there. 😐
Our room has a unique design to it. The ceiling light was recessed in a rounded shape. Reminded me of a love hotel. 😎 Then on top of the headboard was shelves with mirror as backdrop. There was also quite an amount of cabinets in the room. It's possible for long term stay though I would prefer a bigger area with kitchen. Btw, there was a table and chairs in the room.
The only natural light for our room came through the tiny balcony. Without the lights on the room would not be bright enough. Our bathroom has some ventilation through its little window. Decent bathroom though a bit small.
