Harris Hotel - Pontianak, Indonesia

My friend Kristin who is a native of Pontianak suggested that we stay on Jalan Gajah Mada in Pontianak. You would have no problem finding food ! That's what she said when I told her about visiting Pontianak.

So we searched for hotel on Jalan Gajah Mada and settled on Harris Hotel. When we reached the hotel it was not check in time yet so we left our suitcase with the front office and went about looking for lunch.

By the time we came back, our room was ready along with the key. We picked up the key card and headed to 7th floor. The room was just as described. We got a double bed room with a chair on the side. The bathroom was bright with a shower area. Unfortunately there's no view from our window as we faced the side of next door building.

Toothbrushes along with tooth paste were provided though we didn't use because we brought ours. No bottled water provided but there was a water fountain just outside our room where we could fill up our bottles and our kettle.

The TV in the room was a smart TV with YouTube so even though the channels were not satisfactory but at least YT was able to entertain us for two days while we were there. Though the TV remote was picky and had to be aim at a certain height higher than the bed. So it's hard to switch channel or adjust the volume while laying down in bed. 😕 Other than that our room was great.

There was a swimming on the roof top. Big enough to swim though it got packed in the evening with family with kids.
