Key Hiong Dimsum - Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
Today we'll explore Megah Rise Mall. While checking out the map, I noticed there are plenty of eateries in the area. One of them that caught my eyes was a dimsum restaurant. So we decided to drop by.
The problem with dimsum is it's best enjoyed with a group of people. There were only two of us. 😒 That's not a good start. Then hubby had a big breakfast. That narrowed down to less items to try.
Nevertheless it's quite an interesting place which opened up another opportunity of future visit. The place wasn't very big and it looked more like kopitiam set up than restaurant with big round tables. We sat ourselves and peeked at the menu.
As we decided on what to order, a drink guy arrived and took our drink orders. Then to my surprise, another came with a huge round steamer. Not sure if it's a steamer but it did look like a steamer. Inside this steamer was plates of dimsum items. We picked shumai, chicken feet and tofu skin roll. That steamer looked pretty heavy especially with all the items inside. Wow.
While we were enjoying those items, the same guy came back. This time we had a different sort of items. Dry and deep fried items. We didn't get any of these offer. Hubby said he wasn't very hungry. But he mentioned the big bao (steam bun). So next time the guy visited our table again, we let him know that we would like a big bao and also an order of rice roll.
In general the dimsum was not bad. We just didn't get to try too many items. Hopefully next time we could visit with an emptier tummy so we could try more.
