Restoran Thai Nyonya BBQ - Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

This was our second visit to this restaurant. Our first visit to this one was a couple of months back when we also stayed in this area. We loved the Thai food here and decided to stop by again.

They have set menu for RM75 (USD 16.67). It's not a lot of money once converted to USD. In the US if we visited Malaysian or Thai restaurant, that amount will get us only one entree! We chose the set menu the first time and got three dishes. They were delicious but we felt that we did not need that much food.

For the set menu, we were allowed to pick one item of fish, one item of soup and one item of either chicken/vegetable/omelette. On our first visit, we chose lemon fish, tom yum soup and omelette. We enjoyed all three dishes. But could do without the tom yum soup.

So this time, we ditch the set menu and just chose lemon fish and seafood vermicelli salad. In fact, we went there because we missed lemon fish. While in Thailand we haven't had a chance to enjoy any lemon fish. 😅

Lemon fish is a steam fish with spicy sauce made of chopped garlic, chili padi and mixture of lime/lemon juice with fish sauce. It's served on a hot steaming platter to keep it warm. Vermicelli salad is a dish consisted of cooked vermicelli seasoned with lime garlic fish sauce with topping of seafood. It's flavor of tangy, sweet and savory is really good to bring out anybody's appetite.
