Chillax Old Town Villa - Hoi An, Vietnam

We flew to Danang airport and requested a hotel transfer from hotel. Though Danang airport is pretty big and I imagine it would not be hard to hire a car to take you to Hoi An if you need to. It's just happened that our hotel offered the service so we thought why not. We paid VND 320k (USD 12.40) for a ride from Danang Airport to our hotel in Hoi An.

Due to the flight delay, it was about 5 pm by the time we reached our hotel. Check in process was a breeze. The receptionist was very cheerful and made the whole process easy and fast. We got a room and second floor facing the street. Considering the proximity to the night market, our street was very quiet.

When we walked in the room, the bathroom is to the right after the entrance. Inside the bathroom, there was a shower area at one corner. The other side has a big glass window over looking our bed. Don't worry there's a roll down curtain so anyone using the bathroom can keep their privacy.

On the other side of our bed is the door that opens up to the balcony. It's a decent size balcony that can fit two bambo chairs and a small table. Unfortunately there's only a low divider between our balcony and next door neighbor's balcony. But most of the time when we were using our balcony we hardly came across any of our neighbors.

It's good to cycle around in Hoi An Old Town especially if you want to make sure to cover a bigger area of town. With bicycle you could also cycle all the way to An Bang beach which is about 5 km away from Old Town. Our hotel provides bicycle rental for VND 50k/day (USD 1.94). There are bicycles for rent by the river in Old Town if you don't mind walking there. Hubby said the rental by the river was only VND 25k (USD 0.97).
