Charming Chiang Mai Flower Festival 2026 - Chiang Mai, Thailand

Charming Chiang Mai Flower Festival is an annual flower exhibit in Chiang Mai. This year it will run from November 28 2025 to Jan 4 2026 at Chiang Mai Pao Park. Operating hours daily is from 8:30 am to 11 pm. Admission is free.

We took a Grab there which dropped us at the back side of the parking lot. If you were to drive there yourself, the parking lot is actually pretty close to the lake which is the main venue. From where we stay near the Fa Ham area, we reached the Pao Park after going through a bunch of Government buildings including the City Hall. After we got dropped off, we walked through a road passing by rows of vendors selling food. I made a mental note to come back to some of the interesting looking one. But of course, as it gets dark later on, I could not even recognized the direction of where we came from.

This year Charming Chiang Mai Flower Festival features The Wonder Flowerland displaying millions of flowers of various kinds; Orchid Land exhibiting rare Thai orchids; The World Heritage of Lanna - illuminated field at night. Laser show and also Light of Glory (Khon performance). The last two will be shown every hour starting at 19:00. Light of Glory though will only be performed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

I love taking photos of all those flowers in different shapes and different colors. Many people also take photos with the flowers.

The orchid exhibit was amazing. I have never seen so many orchids and so many different types of orchids all in one place. 😍 My mom loves orchid and we actually planned to take them here but they could not make it this time.

As sun set and night fell, we took a break to grab snacks from the so many vendors just outside the flower exhibit area.  Food and drinks are not allowed in the flower exhibit area. That makes sense as they want to preserved cleanliness of the flower exhibit area.

When we went back inside the flower exhibit area, it has transformed into a different scenery with illuminated light. Colorful bed of flower with moving butterflies. Even a tree out of the scene of Avatar !

By then the lake side seating area has been filled with people. We then realized that there was a show about to start, perhaps at the top of the hour. But we could not make it to the lake side as the area was not that big. So make sure to be there earlier if you want to catch a good view of the performance.
