Amari Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

On this visit to Malaysia, we'll be transferring to Ipoh the following day. We arrived at Subang Airport and took Grab to this hotel. The trip took less than 15 minutes. It's our first time staying at this hotel but the neighborhood isn't new to us. We have been to the malls in the neighborhood on our prior visit.

Check in process was a breeze. We were told there would be lion dance performance the following day at 10 am. I was glad but at the same time disappointed that we may not be able to make it due to our train schedule.

As soon as we reached our room on the fifth floor, thunder storm started outside with pouring windy rain. We made it in without getting rained on. Now let's get ourselves situated. The room was not very spacious but it had all the necessary items. Smart TV with sound bar ! I have never been to a hotel that actually provided sound bar. We didn't get to try it though since we were there only on a short time.

Two things that were impressive to me were the water filtration installed in the bathroom and their choices for pillows. The water filtration allows us to drink straight from it. Though I still boiled it first but imagine the energy lugging those bottle water if you are staying there for a few days. The hotel provides a few options for pillows ! Buckwheat pillow, contour, foam and natural latex pillow. We each got two pillows during our stay, I was not sure which was which but I think we did not get to try buckwheat pillow.

I could not comment on breakfast because we did not get breakfast at the hotel. Hubby did try the gym and the swimming pool and they both passed with flying colors. 😍

This hotel would be our choice in the future if we're staying overnight to transfer to Ipoh. It's two stations away from KL Sentral station where we will be taking our train and it's next door to three different malls ! Access to the mall was just a few minutes walking from the hotel backdoor entrance. The mall provides plenty of choices for food and activities. While we were there looking for dinner we actually caught a lion dance performance. Yay 👏👏
