Orange Hotel near Beijing Pedestrian Street - Guangzhou, China

On this trip to Guangzhou, I went through a list of hotels on Trip.com. In the end, I chose Orange Hotel. We stayed at an Orange Hotel in Zhangjiajie City last year and we loved their breakfast spread.

We arrived at Guangzhou Bai Yun International Airport and after some confusion about pick up location for Didi we finally found a premium 6-seater car. There were four of us, all adults, with three big suitcases.

The car that arrived was a minivan similar to Toyota Alphard or perhaps Toyota Sienna. The driver got out of his car and I was impressed with how he dressed. He had a suit on complete with tie. Very polite. He greeted us and told us to get in the car. He then proceeded to load all of our suitcases in the car.

The drive from the airport to our hotel was about 50 minutes. It was slightly worse due to traffic as it was about 5 pm already. But the driver drove carefully and brought us to destination. He parked and pointed to us the hotel entrance and then helped us to unload our luggage.

The receptionist of the hotel was located on the 4th floor. The check in process was seamless. The crew had their banter while helping us. The young man behind the counter handed us two bottles of water and brought another two to my parents sitting behind waiting for us. He also helped us downloaded the app and signed us up for the hotel group app. When I was confused with the reason, he explained one feature of the app which I found very useful. With that app, I could track the washer and dryer, whether they are being used or time needed to complete my wash or drying. Isn't that awesome ?

The room here was not as big as the one we had at Zhangjiajie City. In ZJJ City, we actually got a pair of bench like in a diner. But it's understandable as Guangzhou is a big city. Our room also had a different lay out compared to my parents room as they were located at different part of building. Our sink was actually in a room together with the toilet, while my parents' was outside separated from the toilet.

We loved their robot service as well. They had two robots operated to send deliveries and items to rooms. We requested bottled water on two different occasions and the robot sent our items to our room. Awesome !

We would totally recommend this hotel to other people. I would also choose Orange Hotel again when visiting other parts of China.

The employees at the receptionist were all friendly even though we didn't speak Chinese well. When we checked out, they asked for a good review on Trip.com. I found it funny that they sort of push it on me to do the review right there and then. But it turned out that it's their job to solicit reviews from clients.
