Granville Island Brewing - Vancouver, Canada

Nestled among shops at Granville Island is a brewery with restaurant setting. When we visited that day with our big family, the weather was beautiful. Blue sky with not a single cloud. We chose a sitting at their enclosed patio. Menus were brought out. I got to choose one of the shared food a corn dip and the others chose shrimp bang bang and poutine with chicken. A few people on our group drink so they each chose a drink from the beer menu. Average drink per pint was CAD 10. One could chose a tester option which came in a cute tray with four small glasses.

I didn't drink so could not comment on the beer. But our group seemed to enjoy their beer. Indeed, Granville Island beer was among the one recommended by Gemini AI when I tried to decide which beer to buy for our guests.

Out of the three dishes for share I think the shrimp bang bang most likely on the top. The cleaned shrimps were toss in a light batter, fried until golden color and tossed in a sweet tangy sauce. The corn dip was number two. It was corn on the cob, grilled and dehulled then mixed with a tangy concoction like pico de gallo style. Tortilla chips were served with this corn dip. Least favorite was poutine with chicken topping. For some reason, the shredded chicken was overly salty so it was hard to enjoy.
