Deepcove Osaka Sushi - North Vancouver, Canada

It was a beautiful sunny day when we visited Deepcove area. After a hike up to Quarry Rock we were hungry and started looking for food. Out of the options available we all agreed on this restaurant.

Surprisingly when we arrived the place was empty. As we were gawking inside the restaurant and wondering whether we should proceed with the original plan, I noticed the staff inside actually looked out. Oopsy. Luckily we did decide to go in otherwise we would have miss some of the good food here.

They had a few selection for lunch specials which were pretty good deals. For around CAD 23.95 (USD 17.21) one could have a bento box with chicken teriyaki, tempura, miso soup and california roll. Not bad. Hubby ordered another pork katsu ramen with almost the same price.

The pork katsu was nicely fried, golden brown and crispy. Just the right seasoning and we could taste the pork. The ramen itself though was not impressive. It tasted almost like the ramen that came out of a refrigerated area of a grocery shop. The tempura was nicely executed as well. Tasted fresh and clean.

Our group of people also ordered some sushi and they came out nicely on a platter. The fish looked pretty fresh.
