Dailou Dimsum & Chinese Cuisine - Jakarta, Indonesia

Tuck in a corner close to Batavia PIK is a relatively new dimsum shop. I said relatively new because a few months ago when I searched the area I didn't see it. But then again I could also miss it since there were so many restaurants in the area.

We visited this restaurant on a weekday morning. It was very quiet when we got there. We were most likely the first customer of the day. Too bad there was no gift for that.

We ordered a few dimsum items like lobak XO which is a rice cake stir fry with XO sauce. I know a few restaurants offer this dish as well. Not sure if they really use XO sauce. But I know that my parents enjoy it.

We ordered a rice stir fry with XO sauce, some rice roll and also xiao long bao (soup dumpling). A staff suggested their signature dish which we ordered as well.

All in all the quality of the food was okay. Nothing stood out and begging us to go back for more. As we were finishing, another group arrived. As it turned out, when I looked at the photos on Google review, this restaurant isn't new. There were photos added in 2021.

Would we go back ? Most likely not. The location was a bit further away and there are a lot of other similar restaurants out there.
