Pasar Sentosa @ Seksyen 17 - Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

I love checking out traditional wet market. It's a good place to buy fruits and snacks. More varieties of fruits and more fresh too. This time staying at SS 13 we found a pop up night market very close to our Airbnb which mainly sells fruits, vegetables, some meat and cooked food. There was also a farmers market on the same street every Thursday morning which mainly sells vegetables and fruits. But I am craving snacks and traditional kue. Kue in this case usually refers to traditional snacks made with rice flour, coconut milk, etc.

Google maps showed a walk there took about 15 minutes. Hubby went out for a run first so he went and mapped out the best route to get there. The road there is a bit ascending so it was quite a work out. Luckily it was still a bit cool in the morning.

By the time we reached the road where the market is located, we could tell that it's going to be a busy market. Cars parked by the road side. People walking pass with their loot. Some shops near and around the market were just about to be ready or getting ready to get busy.

Even though this is a wet market, but it's not very big. The items sold were mostly clean, no seafood and no raw meat. Some clothes, vegetables, fruits, cooked food, snacks and frozen cooked items.

Plenty of snacks sold here. We bought fried dough stick, tofu pudding and freshly made soymilk, a few snacks and we walked away with our hands full of tiny bags. Those items would surely last us at least two days.

We passed by a kopitiam (economy style coffee shop) and one of the stalls there sells fried kwayteow. Hubby was interested to try so we sat down and ordered. It was indeed pretty good. We made a mental note to come back and try the other stalls but we never quite make it back. We told ourselves that we would go back when our snacks were out but we could not get ourselves to walk there again. Maybe next time.
