Ahh-Yum @ KLIA 2 Departure Hall - Sepang, Malaysia

Our flight to Jakarta was scheduled at 11:30. Since we haven't had our breakfast yet, we decided to get our breakfast at the airport. We arrived earlier for that. Checked in, dropped our baggage and ready to try something new.

Hubby pointed to this restaurant and we stopped by to look at their menu. The nasi lemak with beef rendang caught my eyes so I voted yes on this restaurant. We walked in and found a table. Menus were brought to us but ordering would be done by scanning a QR code on the table.

I wanted beef rendang with nasi lemak. It's pretty heavy compared to our regular breakfast. But that should cover us until lunch time. We would be fine skipping lunch. I don't remember what hubby ordered but looking at the photo, it should be fried rice with some sort of fried chicken ?

Anyhow, his fried rice was pretty good. He actually enjoyed it. My beef rendang looked pretty good. But when I bit into the rendang, it tasted a bit tangy. I swallowed the thing and then contemplating what I'm going to do. Should I complain ? What would they do about it ? I don't want to piss off anyone.

But I decided that my MYR 28 (USD 6.92) nasi lemak deserved a better rendang. So I waited for the counter person to look at my direction and raised my hand to get his attention. The restaurant was not busy at the time. He came over and I told him my issue. He reaffirmed my complaint. The rendang is spoilt ? Yes.

I was also contemplating what I want the replacement if they don't have anymore rendang. But none of my concern was proven. They brought me a new bowl of rendang. This one tasted good. Normal. Definitely more fresh than the previous one.

When hubby went to pay, they actually gave us a 5% discount. I was surprised but also happy that they acted on it. The other staff that brought me the replacement was also very apologetic about it. Okay five star service.
