Japan Trip Day 4 : Tokyo !!

This is going to be our last day in Osaka. Saying good bye to our cute little Airbnb apartment was a bit sad for me. It's also a reminder that it's only going to be a few more days left for us in Japan.

We were going to stop by for breakfast at what looked like a fast food restaurant just across from the entrance to the Osaka station. But in the morning we decided that it's best to actually had breakfast and then went back to get our suitcase. It was drizzling a bit so it turned out to be a better decision.

Check out our breakfast story at Matsuya.

We tidied our suitcase and left the apartment walking with a suitcase and our umbrella. Suddenly I heard a voice behind. Before I had a chance to turn around to find out what happened. An older lady showed up carrying a clear umbrella and handed it to us. We tried our best explaining to her that we were leaving and not coming back. Hubby said to her that we were going to Tokyo. She was still saying something in Japanese which we didn't understand. Until finally she said to me presento which I translated as "present". I bowed down and said arigato gozaimasu (thank you) and she walked back so fast. We were both wowed by her kindness.

We took Nozomi train which was the fastest shinkansen train. It took 2.5 hours to reach Tokyo - plenty of time for us to contemplate on our lunch. By the end of our destination we have made up our mind and were ready for ramen at Ippudo

My only purchase from Pokemon Center

After ramen at Ippudo we walked back to the Ikebukuro station and found a different exit and followed a different crowd to Sunshine City Alpa where Pokemon Center was located. There were not too many interesting merchandise as I expected. So I only got a Missha magic cushion with Pikachu on it. Very cute. And spent 300 yen on my first gachapon machine. Gachapon are those capsule machine where you put your coins in and spin to get a merchandise out. It's almost like a vending machine for merchandise but with random luck.

By 4 pm we made it to our Airbnb apartment in the kabukicho area of Shinjuku.

My legs were so tired from walking whole day. But we haven't gotten our Tokyo day pass yet. So we had to go find a Bic Camera store. The closes one was the West Shinjuku store so off we went.

It was a good thing that the Bic Camera store was so close to the Shinjuku Nishiguchi station so we didn't even have to get out of the station. Got our cards and were ready to look for dinner. Everything there were too crowded so we decided to go back and explored our neighborhood.
