Old Phuket Town

Iconic buildings of Old Phuket Town. The one on the right was the old Chartered Bank building which now becomes Peranakannitat Museum. The other across is the clock tower building.

Saeng Tham Shrine-定光堂
Entrance to the shrine tucked in between old buildings of Old Phuket Town. Got nice murals depicting Chinese Traditions. Make sure to remove your shoes once you enter the inner gate.

Murals on the wall between outer gate and inner gate.

Looking out to the street

Old style buildings on Thalang Road. This road reminded me of Penang, Malaysia.

Thalang Road. Colorful buildings - home of coffee shops, restaurants and shops.

Thalang Street is also home of the popular Sunday Walking Street. We were lucky to be able to go there even it was rainy season during our visit. Plenty of food to try, from freshly made juice, appetizer, barbecue skewers to desserts. Not to mention jewelry, clothing, bags, etc. Ladies, make sure to bring a tote bag to put together all your loot.😂

Our hotel - Ecoloft - is within walking distance, so we walked there and grabbed different types of food and beverages and walked back to our hotel to enjoy.
