Airbnb at Escent Park Ville - Chiang Mai, Thailand
We have stayed in this area before earlier in July. We got an apartment then through Agoda. It was not the same apartment complex but that one was at D Condo Sign on the other side of Central Festival. We don't really like the size and lay out of the apartment there. First it was actually a studio and that one in particular had a few kitchen appliances that were not functioning properly. Second the gym there did not work with the access card so we had to exchange our access card with another card to be able to go to the gym. Not sure why the complication.
Anyhow so I looked around and found this listing on Booking.com. In my opinion the price was a bit higher but I assumed it was because of the holiday. Though later on I checked for different time of the year and it didn't seem to vary much.
The location was good within walking distance to Central Festival. The complex actually provides delivery and pick up from Central Festival every hour. The greenery around the complex was nice and soothing. The pool though not as amazing as D Condo Sign was still acceptable by hubby's standard. The gym was decent size with enough work out tools.
Our unit was a one bedroom unit with separate bedroom, living room and even a tiny balcony. Balcony is enough to dry our clothes. Washer was provided in the unit. Later on we found out that there is laundry facility downstairs with four washers and two dryers. There was also a water unit in the same compound. Water machine is useful as we don't want to haul water back from 7-Eleven or supermarket. Once our bottle is finished we just needed to go downstairs to fill it up. It's cheaper, only about THB 3-THB 5 (USD 0.09 - USD 0.15) to fill up the bottle depends on the size. Compare that amount to purchasing a bottled water which could cost about THB 25-THB 60 (USD 0.74 - USD 1.71) depending on the brand.

The owner of the unit provided enough kitchen utensils to prepare our meals. So when we don't feel like going out we just cook and enjoy our meals. We did that quite a few times. Or we ordered food through Grab. At least it gave us options on our meals.
Another thing I learned on this visit was to use bicycle sharing (Anywheel and GCOO). Maybe a separate post for that.
