Yaohan Food Court - Richmond, Canada

Richmond was our backyard last time before we moved away. Going back this time brought back a lot of memory. We walked from Brighouse Station to Value Village on Granville. Didn't find anything particularly interesting there. We traced our way back to Richmond Centre. To our surprise, The Bay was closing down !

From there we cut through the parking lot and made it to Westminster Highway. Cross Westminster Highway and climbed up staircase to the entrance of London Drugs. After we got our errands done at London Drugs then we started looking into lunch options.

Hei Hei rice roll was tempting but the thought of waiting one hour for our meal wasn't very appealing. So we walked towards Yaohan Food Court. Last time we tried the rice roll there and it wasn't bad.

Once we got to Yaohan Food Court, I noticed a new (to us) vendor. The name is Chinese Baozi Master. I saw a bunch of ladies making them fresh behind the glass. But I didn't feel like having bao (buns) though. So we made a beeline towards the counter that sells rice rolls.

While hubby was waiting to place order for rice rolls, I went back to the bun counter. So many people waiting there got me interested. I looked at the menu again to see if there's anything that might interest me. Voila, I saw tofu pudding. Then I saw chili wonton ! 😍

At the other counter, hubby got hungry and decided to order 3 types of rice roll. Oh well, it's been a while we had this and while we were at it might as well.

It was a very satisfying lunch. The tofu pudding was soft with brown sugar syrup that wasn't too sweet. The chili sauce from this counter was nice so we used that to flavor our rice roll and they turned pretty close to Hei Hei rice roll.😂
