Saboten -Richmond, BC

Came across this Japanese food stall when we were at Aberdeen Centre food court the other day. Me and hubby we're glad to see that they offer tonkatsu curry. So we thought we should try it. The order came out relatively fast. It's supposed to be fast food.

The katsudon was golden color in contrast with the dark color curry sauce. The smell was divine. Just the way I remembered the last Japanese curry we had in Sapporo before we left Japan last September.

I picked up a piece of the pork cutlet and had a bite of it. Crunch..crunch. It was very crunchy and moist. The pork cutlet used was pretty lean but not overly lean that it's dry when fried. The curry sauce was flavorful and had a hint of spiciness in it. Hubby commented that it would be nice if we could customize the level of spiciness. But for now we are happy that we have a place to go when craving katsudon curry here in Vancouver.
