Revisited : Lotus Restaurant - Richmond, BC

It's been a while since we eat out. Most of the times was just a bit of take-out here and there to supplement our homemade dishes. This week we stopped by Lotus Restaurant again. It's a weekday night but the place was pretty busy.

There was nobody using the patio area when we got there. We requested a table at the patio. Just like last time, for contact tracing, hubby left his name and contact number. Not long after we were seated, a family of four arrived and sat on the other side of the patio.

This time we tried a different noodle. I ordered a dry rice noodle #S13 dry rice noodle with pork and seafood with soup served on the side. While hubby ordered a large size rice noodle soup with steak and meat balls.

While waiting for our orders to be served, people came in and out picking up their orders. And some diners left from dining inside as well. Not long later we got our orders. My rice noodle just as described was dry with some dark sauce mixed in. The topping was pork charsiu, fish cake and prawns. A small bowl of soup was served on the side. There was fragrant smell of garlic oil mixed with the noodle as well. All in all everything went well together. I didn't really need the soup. It was nice by itself.

Hubby's beef noodle soup was just like a normal beef noodle soup would look like. Quite generous amount of meat balls and thinly sliced beef cooked just right with the hot soup. I tried the soup and it's not particular fragrant with any spices. Pretty mild taste.

This restaurant is now our go to when we're craving for Vietnamese noodle. We love the option of patio dining with fresh air.
