Bumi Aki Cisarua - Puncak, Bogor, Indonesia

It's been a while ago that I visited a Bumi Aki restaurant. The one I remembered was from a few years ago. It's a smaller restaurant with a view to a valley below. At the time it was foggy and implying a mysterius feel to it.

The other day though the Bumi Aki we visited was modern looking. The parking lot was neat. When we walked in we were greeted by a waiter who suggested us a few options for our tables. The inside tables were regular tables cater to bigger group. I liked the idea of eating in fresh air so I asked about the patio tables. Those had cushios and seemed more intimate. The tables were smaller though and it's a smoking section. Oh well.

It took us a few minutes to look through the menu and then decided on what to order. Surprisingly our orders came pretty fast and all at the same time. That's pretty rare for a restaurant in Indonesia. But it's perfect since our group were starving after getting stuck in Puncak traffic.

This fried gurame wasn't as crispy as we thought it should be. Apparently gurame cobek goreng isn't the same as deep fried gurame. Most likely was because this dish supposed to have sauce on it though it was served separately.

The goat soup stood out and well prepared. I wasn't a goat dish lover but I must say that the goat soup was delicious and not gamey at all. Though some pieces of the meat still need a bit more cooking time but overall it was well prepared.
