Khun Jeed Yodpak Restaurant - Phuket, Thailand

This place supposedly is popular for its rad na which is a stir fry rice noodle with gravy. Rad na is usually served with the wide type of rice noodle (sen yai) though I have seen it's made with yellow noodle as well.

It's location is relatively close to our hotel. Distinct by its bright yellow color with green awning, we had no trouble locating the restaurant. It's quite a big establishment by Thai standard with plenty of workers.

We sat down and was brought an English menu. Their big star is rad na so we ordered that along with a plate of chicken satay. Then I sat down and watched the dynamic of the restaurant. The owner sat behind the cashier counter but came out to do some chores every now and then. Mean while online food drivers came and went with their orders. Busy indeed.

Our order came fast. I have noticed at food court, rad na is usually precooked. Meaning, the rice noodle was cooked ahead and so was the gravy being kept warm. When orders come then those two items will be combined and served.

I am not a rad na expert so I couldn't comment much on this. I think it's okay. The chicken satay was okay as well. The thing that stood out was the coconut dessert served on the table. Sweet and fragrant. I was very tempted to go for second. 😅
