This restaurant is relatively new to the area. So we gladly accepted an offer to meet up and had lunch there. It was a big group so we got to order more than we normally could.

The restaurant was not very big from outside, but it seems that it also took some space from next door unit so the inside seemed to open to bigger space. They have set menu which seemed like a good deal for birthday party. The set menu offers free sambal and free birthday dessert. We did not clarify what was in the "birthday dessert". The set menu also comes with free refill of plain ice tea.

Even though our group was pretty big we decided not to go with the set menu as we did not see any benefit. So we pre-ordered from the regular menu. As soon as we arrived, the food was delivered pretty fast. All we needed to do was just order the drinks and rice.

In general we liked the food. The portion was on the smaller size. The good thing is we don't have to order same thing twice. The bad thing is if something was good then we all wished the portion was bigger. Also with smaller portion, our tables seemed to fill up fast. So we needed to distribute the dishes and have the plates cleared off the table.

The style of the food was closer to the Sundanese style food. There were gurame goreng, ayam bakar, karedok, etc. There was also nasi timbel (rice in banana leaf) but they also offer nasi uduk (coconut milk flavored rice) which normally is not offered at a Sundanese style restaurant.

We ordered some snacks like pisang crispy and singkong crispy which technically should be served first. It was never communicated to us so everything were served together with the main dish. I think Indonesian restaurants have to work on improving this. It's not the first time I encountered this kind of thing. I can't fault them either as Indonesian cuisine has no differentiation of appetizers or mains.
