Badminton Courts in Kuching - Kuching, Malaysia
Arena Sukan
Lots 4967 & 603, Block 11, MTLD, Q112B, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak

The first badminton court we played in Kuching. I liked the ease of booking this court as it's done through their website. The place was newish so toilet area was relatively cleaner.
There are a total of 9 courts. When we played on weekdays the lights only turned on the court we booked so it could be a bit dark. Just like every other badminton courts we tried, this facility tend to be busy and fully booked on weekends so book earlier.
There was no fans so it could get very warm and stuffy after a while. The trick is to pick courts near to the entrance so we could stand by the door to cool off. Our favorite was court #9.
At the time we were there, their hours was 9 am - 12 am. The cost per hour was RM 15 (USD 3.54). There was no price difference between weekdays and weekends. To book online, visit their website and click "book".
Dewan Badminton Stapok

After we moved to our second Airbnb at The Podium we found a few badminton courts closer to that location. We tried both but in the end played at Dewan Badminton Stapok the most.
This badminton court didn't have online booking system but the WhatsApp booking was working out just fine for us. We would message them a day prior to arrange for the booking. Payment would be done after or before our play time. The cost was RM 12 (USD 2.84) for weekends and RM 10 (USD 2.37) for weekdays.
This badminton court has 20 courts separated into four different areas with alphabets proceeding. The first time we played there we were assigned court D1. It's next to the entrance to D area. Having a door there enable us to leave it open for some fresh air when we play. After that we always requested the same court and they let us play on that court.
The benefit of this badminton court was they open earlier at 8 am. It helps a lot during weekends and holidays when the courts tend to be fully booked.
BK Smashers Badminton Club
Jalan Setia Raja, Tabuan Laru, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak
Ph : 0198203691
This badminton court was our badminton playground after we moved to Gala Residences. It's part of a badminton club and maybe that's why it's not very popular on weekdays. Though we never tried on weekends as we could not get a spot. 😀
Reservation was done through WhatsApp and payment was left at the cafeteria. The badminton courts were part of a sports complex. There were swimming pool and a bunch of pickle ball courts.
This badminton court was a proper badminton court with rubbery court. Unlike the other badminton courts which were just painted but were all made of concrete.
