It's located about one exit before Disneyland on hwy 5. The strip mall that it was located seemed pretty new and had a variety of shops like Ranch Market, Daiso and a few other restaurants. When we walked in we were seated right away.
The paper table mat they used was sponsored by Yeo's and looked like a promotional item for Malaysian tourism. We ordered a char kway teow and noodle with roast pork. The lady (owner ?) who took our order offered appetizer. We decided to try their satay.
While waiting for our order, the same lady (owner?) brought out a ukulele and started singing and encouraged everyone to sing along. The lyrics was also on the back of the menu booklet. Interesting.
The char kway teow looked quite promising but it tasted too salty. Apparently they never made it spicy before so when I requested spicy they probably over used the sambal oelek. It was also missing the smokey flavor that could only come when stir fry was done in high heat. The chicken satay order had four decent size skewers, some rice cake and a small dish of peanut sauce. The chicken tasted like it got some sort of spice marinate but it didn't taste like it was grilled. So maybe it was baked ?
The only dish that was pretty decent was the noodle dish with roast pork. The noodle was thin and the roast pork amount was generous. But the taste of the roast pork was okay only. I have tasted better one.
