Thai Chili Express - San Jose

We happened to see this place one time when we were in the area but wasn't in business on Sundays. So some other time we made time to come back on Saturday and they were open. There was another customer doing take out when we got in. That gave us chance to look around and check out the menu.

We decided to order the pad see ew (stir fry rice noodle) which was made to order. And I order a rice combo with spicy stir fry chicken and tofu. There was a special going on for the rice combo item so we got a free Thai ice tea as well. Awesome deal !



The spicy stir fry chicken and tofu ( I think that's the name) consisted of sliced chicken meat stir fry with fried tofu in this sweet spicy sauce. It was so good. The stir fry rice noodle took less than ten minutes to prepare and we got our order. It was fragrant with typical burnt wok smell that is a must with a good stir fry item. You need a real hot wok to be able to achieve that fragrant.

We were both very satisfied with our order. I had a bit left over tofu/chicken that we brought home for dinner because they were quite generous with the portion.
