Wee Nam Kee - Singapore

We met up with a friend at this restaurant when we visited Singapore last year. She suggested a couple of places and this name was familiar because we went to the same restaurant while we were in Tokyo the previous year. It was the best hainamese chicken rice outside Singapore.

This location is in the United Square mall. We were dropped off by the uber driver at the mall since we were sort of early. We should probably asked to be dropped off at the restaurant. It was a bit harder to find from inside the mall. The entrance was off the mall and there's no straight entrance from the mall.

Since there were a group of us so we decided to order the whole chicken, tofu stew, a plate of green veggies and a bowl of soup. The soup didn't show up in the picture because it was distributed fast. And to be honest it didn't look very pretty. Simple watercress soup was homely and delicious.

I somehow wasn't completely blown away with the chicken. It was a bit too cold instead of room temperature. And maybe because we ordered the whole chicken so we were overwhelmed by the chicken. Since we were just visiting we couldn't possibly take the left over back to hotel. I'm not a wasteful person so I helped finish everything.
